LIEWOOD was founded in the summer of 2015 by Anne Marie Lie Nielsen with the aim of creating a unique kids interior concept focusing on functionality, fine lines and simple details. Everything in Liewood is a result of Anne Marie’s passion for design, aesthetics and the belief that beauty lies in the detail. Being a mum herself, Anne Marie is familiar with the needs of a modern family and that’s what is knows as the heart and soul of LIEWOOD.
LIEWOOD is based in Copenhagen and their inspiration is deeply rooted in the Nordic design tradition. From organic textile products to their collection of bamboo tableware and wooden toys – the aim is to create something unique & simple, yet highly functional.
LIEWOOD design concepts are about respecting the tenderness and innocence of childhood and at the same time meet the needs of modern families. Pure shapes and delicate prints full of personality go hand in hand with functionality – making LIEWOOD the fun and fabulous alternative to the more mainstream options.
LIEWOOD has an uncompromising and ethical approach to manufacturing. Driven by strong values, the decisions are based on profound knowledge and experience. All of the products are produced in controlled, safe and fair conditions and by skilled suppliers who do not compromise on either employment or environment. All of the textile products are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified. LIEWOOD uses the best possible materials that have passed strict demands and quality control – each of the collections is carefully taken through each step – from drawing table to store shelf.
LIEWOOD in Nordlife
Here in Nordlife we wholeheartedly agree with Liewood’s philosophy and manufacturing ethics. Which is why we have decided to bring more LIEWOOD goodness to Australia. We will mostly concentrate on Liewood’s beautiful wooden toys, teethers & rattles as well as baby & kids plate sets and dinnerware – specially on their bamboo range. We hope you will love & cherish these as much as we do!
