Fabelab

Fabelab’s products are designed by Michaela W-B, an architect living with her husband and 2 daughters in Copenhagen, who embraces Scandinavian design, taking inspiration from people’s stories and cultures.

Fabelab designs innovative and soft products for everyday use, that are made responsibly. Their products are aesthetically appealing and with functionalities that stimulate the child’s senses and trigger their imagination throughout different stages of their development. Fabelab aims to create a universe that encourages children and their parents to imagine and fantasise.

Fabelab is a sustainable company, using organic materials and designing products that can have a longer life by transforming alongside the growing child. Their collections consist of a range of colours that are soothing to the eye and at the same time playful and sophisticated.

Michaela says: “As an architect and mother of 2 girls, I get inspired by both my work and my children to develop innovative products for cuddling, playing and everyday use. I like those small moments of amazement and the magic we can bring to childhood by encouraging their fantasy. Creating the FABELAB universe, I can combine my background in architecture and scenography, special principles and storytelling, into functional and inspiring designs. I love the simplicity of geometric shapes that can be interpreted individually.”

High Quality Products

Fabelab takes tremendous pride in developing products of very high quality. All Fabelab products are made with attention to quality and craftsmanship and they are often carefully hand-finished – they are also made using organic GOTS certified cotton.

Zero-waste philosophy

Fabelab aims to follow a zero-waste philosophy as much as possible, so some of their accessory line products such as the garlands, crowns and masks, are made from cut-offs of their own production.
