Oh those wonderful first months of having a brand new baby! At some point you will realise though that your little baby is not so much a baby anymore and one of the first big steps they will take will be getting to know solid foods.
Most parents start introducing solids to their babies around 5-7 month mark. Of course, every baby is different and depending on their pre-solids diet and your personal preferences you might want to start a bit sooner or a bit later, but eventually you will have to start it either way.
Not only will you then need to learn about what are the best foods to start expanding your baby’s diet with but also familiarise yourself with the best bowls & plates, bibs & spoons and so much more.
This is why we have decided to put together a series of articles of different baby & toddler tableware items that we sell here in Nordlife. In the next few weeks we will introduce Liewood spoon sets, silicone cups, baby plates, plate & bowl sets, silicone bibs, placemats & so much more.
Why Liewood? Silicone Baby Spoons
Liewood Silicone Spoons are made of 100% BPA free silicone and have a soft tip to protect your baby’s sensitive gums. The spoons come in a 4 pack & are comfortable to use for both the baby and the parent. They were designed in five different colours and have cute Liewood animal shapes on the handles.
Silicone & Recycled Polyester Baby Bibs
Liewood silicone bibs are made from 100% LFGB approved food-grade silicone & they are completely free of nasty chemicals. The best part – because they are made of silicone, they are so easy to clean – just wipe them down, put them in the dishwasher or wash them under running water. The bib also has a deep spill pocket to catch any spillage & food that doesn’t make it into your child’s mouth (hey no judgment, it’s a long trip!). In addition to silicone bibs we also stock beautiful recycled polyester smock bibs that provide more coverage than the regular bib and are super easy to clean too!
Divided Bamboo Plates Sets – Baby Plates & Bowls
This divided baby plates are one of Liewood’s latest additions to their product range & definitely one of the more popular ones. These beautiful baby plates come in 3 shapes & colours and the set includes 4 pieces – a large divided plate for finger foods, a smaller bowl for purees, a cup for drinking and a cute little spoon. The Divided plate has 3 or 4 compartments depending on the animal it is based on and the bowls have cheeky little ears that make the mealtime a bit more playful.
Silicone Drinking Cups
These beautiful sets of 2 colourful drinking cups are made of 100% BPA free silicone. The design of the cups is ingenious – they have small studs on the bottom that help avoid tipping the cup (and crying over spilled milk haha ;)). The cup has two handles which make it easier for your toddler to drink on their own & has been tested according to the latest EU regulations.
Kids Drinking Bottles
These super cool kids water bottles hold 375ml liquid – both warm and cold. What makes them even cooler is the fact that they come with two lids – a normal steel lid and a sports lid. Liewood water bottles are made of the best quality steel on the market – 18/8 steel. This steel is super durable and virtually cannot be torn apart. There are no coatings on the inside of the bottle and the steel does not emit any chemicals or flavours into the liquids inside the bottle.
Silicone Place Mats
Silicone place mats help make the a little less messy and a whole lot cuter! They are perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack time, and are great for protecting your dining table or kitchen counter from spills and stains. Made from FDA-certified food-safe silicone, these placemats have been tested and are approved for all food contact.
